Every year, DFW International Airport, in conjunction with American Airlines, the Federal Aviation Administration and Tarrant County College, hosts more than 3,300 students at its annual Aviation & Transportation Career Expo — one of the largest educational events of the year in North Texas. The Expo gives students from Dallas, Fort Worth and the neighboring communities an opportunity to learn about careers in a variety of aviation and transportation fields — from piloting a plane to managing a rail line and responding to emergencies.  Students at the Expo are encouraged to see the latest technology from many transportation fields, as well as view demonstrations from over thirty exhibitors including the Civil Air Patrol, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), Lockheed Martin, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Numerous static aircraft, vehicles displays and information booths representing various aspects of the aviation and transportation community are available to everyone attending this dynamic educational experience. Our goal is to enhance DFW’s visibility in the surrounding areas and increase public awareness of its value to North Texas. We support public education and promote awareness of aviation careers. We provide public safety and traveler’s education, to help ensure our traveling guests, as well as, our communities are well–informed and prepared. DFW is the primary economic engine in the North Texas region, and because of that, DFW works continually with its Owner Cities, Dallas and Fort Worth, to promote both Cities and their involvement with area communities.
